Following the success of the 2013 Mayflower Village project, Uniting Care engaged Area Safe Products Pty Ltd (parent company of AS Urban) to supply hundreds of custom colour outdoor furniture items with maintenance-free recycled composite wood slats:

The Challenge:

Uniting Aged Care operations management were frustrated with maintenance time & costs on their older outdoor timber furniture i.e. sanding, repairing, staining and/or painting.

The Solution:

Area Safe proposed to take our current heavy duty, robust, timber slat furniture range and provide it exclusively for Uniting Aged Care villages with a plastic composite slat. This reduced the cleaning and maintenance time and completely eliminates the staining/painting process.
